Wie wichtig das Freibad für die Gemeinde ist, wird (leider) nicht erkannt. Dabei geht es nicht nur um das Schwimmen. Die Wirkung des Freibades reicht deutlich darüber hinaus. Ob als zentrale soziale Infrastruktur, Steigerung der lokalen Attraktivität nicht nur für mögliche Neubürger oder als Unterstützung für die verbliebenen Geschäfte und Lokale im Ort. So profitiert auch der Tourismus von einem Freibad. Und damit wiederum die Gemeinde, die Menschen, die hier leben.

Es gibt noch zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, die es gilt auszuschöpfen um die Auslastung des Freibades zu optimieren. Von Nachtschwimmen über Beachpartys, Wasserballturniere, Open-Air-Kino, bis hin zu Wettkämpfen wie Triathlon und vieles mehr. Aktionen, die bislang nicht in Betracht gezogen wurden, um das Freibad zu bewerben und den Ertrag zu steigern. Potential das es gilt zu nutzen.
